Genesis RTS Hires Cesar Gongora to Lead Global Real Time Operations

Genesis RTS welcomes Cesar Gongora as its Global Director of Real Time Operations, responsible for delivering state-of-the-art real time solutions for remote command and control and remote operations such as geo steering, directional drilling, M.W.D. and workflow integration between drilling, subsurface and field operations.

Prior to Genesis RTS, Gongora held the lead engineering position for Shell Oil’s Drilling Automation & Remote Technology (DART) operations center. There, he was responsible for developing and implementing remote operations at global DART centers. He also was tasked to develop and integrate workflows between drilling engineers, geoscientists and other DART center supervisors to achieve a higher level of performance, consistency and productivity, and then develop and integrate KPIs to measure efficiency.

Cesar earned a Masters of Business Administration focusing on Real Time Operations, Market Segmentation and Workflow Integration in the O&G industry from Texas A&M University, a Masters of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelors of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Fundacion Universidad de America in Colombia.
